Seeing Stripes?

Often time’s life goes by like a blur. You are running from appointment to appointment, on the train, on a plane, in your car, and you never really have a chance to smell the roses. You look around and realize you cannot remember the last time you actually saw a rose let alone smelled one. Your home becomes the common stomping ground for sleep, changing clothes and getting on with “life”. You begin to feel like your life is one big state of confusion; everything is blurry and you are seeing stripes!

Well folks, I am blurred with excitement but the picture is starting to get clearer everyday. Mr. Wilson and my girlfriend painted the baby’s room last Saturday and it is gorgeous! The main wall is striped with yellow, green and white. So every morning I go into her room and remind her that we are blessed. For the first time the stripes have made the world makes sense.

Now my optimism may be surprising to those that know me actually, Mr. Wilson may agree that pregnancy has made me nicer (I pray for the old Mrs. Wilson). However, truly, my joyful spirit is the excitement of this new life. I guess the saying motherhood changes you in my case may be a good thing.

So wake up, enjoy life, and find your stripes… the world may start to make some sense!
